Shake Shackis offering free burgers all week long — and you can thank the2024 Oscars!
The fast food chain first made their mouth-watering announcement at the start of the month. On March 4, the company revealed their “Hollywood’s Biggest Night Promotion,” which is happening now to March 18.
“Lights, camera, action! Join us for an award-worthy guessing game during Hollywood’s Biggest Night!” their press release began. Shake Shake then explained that the free food would be contingent upon how long the annual Academy Awards lasted.

“Will it be an epic marathon or a swift sprint? We have crunched the numbers and predicted a runtime of 3 hours and 31 minutes!” they said of Hollywood’s biggest night, which was held last Sunday.
Shake Shack credited marketing agency calledKnownto calculate the awards show length.
According to the fast food restaurant, the agency used a custom formula to determine the run time with factors such as how long the host would talk, presentations, performances, ads, and maybe even a little Ken-ergy!

PerFood & Wine, either way, viewers would get something!
The outlet added that if Shake Shake were right about their guesstimated 3 hours and 31 minutes, patrons would pick up on a free Chicken Shack — one of the chain’s bestsellers, which has a “crispy, white-meat chicken breast over lettuce, pickles, and buttermilk herb mayo on a toasted potato bun.”
And if the Oscars ran under the award show’s stipulated 211 minutes, Shake Shack would then be offering the SmokeShack instead — another fan favorite. The burger is officially described as a “cheeseburger made from all-natural Angus beef topped with applewood smoked bacon, chopped cherry peppers, and ShackSauce.”

In the end SmokeShacks prevailed and burger fans are the big winners. However, there are a couple of stipulations.
Their website says that the SmokeShack must be in association with a $10 minimum purchase.
