Paulina Porizkovais reflecting on her relationship withAaron Sorkin.
“I was being absolutely honest! He helped heal me,” theNightcapactress says. “He’s a wonderful, wonderful man who I am still friends with. He was instrumental in me sort of regaining a sense of myself as a woman, so he was the one man — I love him for this… I asked him one day, ‘Am I intimidating?’ and he said, ‘Hell yeah. Because you’re beautiful, you’re smart, and you’re tall.’ "

“It was really helpful at the time in my life where I was otherwise feeling kind of crap about myself,” continues Porizkova. “He made me feel rather wonderful about myself. We’re just two different feathers, and that’s why it couldn’t last.”

In May last year, Porizkova toldThe New York Timesthat she and Sorkin met when journalist Ashleigh Banfield asked her if she wanted to be introduced to a single man. Porizkova consented, with one exception — “no rock stars” — a nod toher messy split from her late husband, Cars frontman Ric Ocasek.
Banfield then introduced Porizkova to theWest Wingcreator via text message and a month later, she was flying out to Los Angeles for a date with Sorkin.
Their second date just so happened to be theirOscars debut. Porizkova admitted that she wasinitially concerned that such a public datewas too soon for the new couple, but went anyway. “This is going to kind of take me off the market for a little bit,” she recalled telling Sorkin, to which he simply replied, “OK.”
