The rising artist, 19, andsonofTravis Barker, 47, released his debut single, “Friends with Your EX,” on Friday. His first song is out on his father’s label DTA Records and features theBlink-182star on production and drums.
Barker proves he’s going down the pop-punk lane on “Friends with Your EX.” The new track is an alt-rock song that’s dying to be screamed along to, with its blaring chorus and Barker’s signature sharp percussion.

Lyrically, the song explores a messy teenage tryst. “I was friends with your ex / You were with him when we met / Guеss he hasn’t found out yet / But I know he’s gonna kill mе when he sees me with you,” the rocker sings.

The pop-punk artist, whom Barker shares with ex-wifeShanna Moakler, recentlyteased the new songwith a sweet TikTok featuring his step-momKourtney Kardashian. In the clip posted on Monday, the social media personality and reality star, 44, lip-synced and danced along to a snippet of the track.
“We had to run it up!@Kourtney Kardashian Barker,” he captioned the upload.

TheDancing with the Starswinner spoke to PEOPLE abouther beau’s ink. She said, “Basically, he was like, ‘I have to get a tattoo tomorrow. What should I get?’ And I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, you should get my face. He was like, ‘Really? I’ll do it.’ and I was like, ‘Rock, paper, scissors,’ and I won.”
Although she “didn’t think he was actually going to go through with it,” she admitted, “It actually really, really looks like my eye, which is crazy. But I think it’s so cool.”
