I trip up across an amazing exposure of a kingfisher diving for its dinner party , taken by photographer Adrian Groves with a Canon 40D camera . Though I canno longer show youhere due to copyright issues …
grove set up a tank of minnow as bait , camouflage with some veiling , and then hid out , waiting for the kingfisher to come out . When it finally did , the Canon 40D ( with a 70 - 200f2.8L IS electron lens , prepare at f/8 , 1/1000 mo ) manage to photograph the kingfisher diving for a provender . I ca n’t stop looking at it — the orange feathers make it look like it ’s on fire .
Now I want a 40D. And a pet kingfisher . [ TrekNatureviaTelegraphandDaily chain armor ]
