Demi Lovatois receiving well wishes from her friends and fans after she was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday following anapparent overdose.

Shortly after news of Lovato’s hospitalization,Ariana Grandetweeted her support to the 25-year-old pop star, writing, “I love u @ddlovato.”

ExJoe Jonasshowed his support, tweeting, “Like all of you I am thinking of @DDLovato right now. She needs our prayers and support. We all know how strong you are Demi. #prayfordemi.”

Lady Gagalovingly wrote, “We should all wrap our arms of love around Demi Lovato. I am so happy you’re alive. Thank God. If I know my monsters as well as I believe I do, we all wish you self-compassion and inner peace. And may you receive the love so many have for you. #ImConfidentInDemi Demi, I love you.”

Country starBrad Paisley, who collaborated with Lovato on the 2016 single “Without a Fight,” also tweeted, “My friend @ddlovato is one of the kindest, most talented people I’ve ever met. Praying for her right now, addiction is a terrifying disease. There is no one more honest or brave than this woman.”

Selena Gomez’s mother Mandy Teefey, shared a photo of the two singers on Instagram, writing, “This was exactly 10 yrs ago at S, Sweet 16.@ddlovatowe love you. The world is a better place because of these infectious smiles. My heart hurts.”

Ellen DeGeneresexpressed her love for Lovato, writing, “I love @DDLovato so much. It breaks my heart that she is going through this. She is a light in this world, and I am sending my love to her and her family.”

The hashtags #PrayForDemi and #StayStrongDemi quickly became trending topics on social media.

A representative for the Los Angeles Fire Department tells PEOPLE they “transported a 25-year-old female patient to a local hospital,” while the Los Angeles Police Department confirms both departments “responded to a medical emergency” in the area of her Hollywood Hills home just before noon.

Lovato hasbattled addiction, mental illness and disordered eatingfor years. In 2010, she entered treatment, where she was treated for bipolar disorder, bulimia, self-harm and addiction. She relapsed after she left the treatment center, then entered a sober living facility for a year.

Last March, Lovato revealed shecelebrated six years of sobriety,but in June she released a new song, “Sober” on which sherevealed that she had relapsed.
