This is the trailer for Chappie , an upcoming sci - fi / adventure flickfrom author / director Neill Blomkamp ( Elysium , District 9 ) about a childlike robot who ’s kidnapped by criminal , must learn how to be cool , and at some point figure out the divergence between right and wrong . Just like high school !

The movie is out March 6 , and it star Hugh Jackman , Dev Patel , and ( and ! ) Ninja and Yo - Landi Vi$$er of South African electro - rap duet Die Antwoord . Hell yeah . We do n’t get it on much about it , other than the themes of machines grapple with human feelings . But we do know the presence of Die Antwoord mean there has to be at least an overtone of weird.[EW ]
