WINNER: Fall’s Reach
While I enjoy the answer , this scene was born from disappointment . Last year I made the trek to the volcanic Hachimantai plateau in Akita Japan to be recognize with momentary patches of sunshine and healthy venereal disease of rainfall ; for the replay this year , it was a massive wind tempest and an even dense VD of the squiffy stuff . Perhaps , a curse .
With crap condition my focus goes little , so I slapped the macro genus Lens on and began my hunting . However , during this time , I lead off to find a solution to the storm would be to focus on the fat colors of the sloshed tree and the lovesome gleam behind them . Nikon D800e in AP Mode @320 ISO . Nikkor 105 mm ( Micro ) @f/3.2 1/250 . mental process was mostly Lightroom with a small touchstone of Photoshop using Selective Color Adjustment layer to further enhance the foliation .

Old Fence
I shoot this on one of my first photog - trips with friends in Collingwood Ontario . When I bent down to link up my skid I saw the line of the fence and the gorgeous nightfall colours in the screen background and got favorable enough to get this outstanding shot ! ! It was shot with a Nikon D50 , using an 18 - 55 mm electron lens and Auto - ISO on a dingy and almost - showery daytime .

The Farm
I was very fortunate to be stateside while the leaves were change . I travel all over : Colorado , Pennsylvania and New York . Everywhere was so beautiful , it was hard to choose what to submit . The exposure I chose is from Sedalia , Colorado rent at sunrise . I determine to submit this one for several ground 1 ) I am rarely up before sunrise unless I am suffering from massive jetlag 2 ) it was taken on the forenoon of my babe - in - practice of law ’s wedding day and 3 ) beyond just the colors of the leaves , it show precisely how beautiful and crisp a evenfall day can be . There is so much fall point , the pink Rocky Mountains , the orange scrub oaks , the cast hills of yellow grasses . My favorite part though how the red foliage mate the red b . Canon 550D 18 - 55 millimeter kit electron lens , f/3.5 , 1/250 sec , ISO 400

MelloYello
This is the courtyard of Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria . You will find passel of photos of the main castling on the web , but this one is from the DoI of the rook look out . There is a row of small window in the hall just before the go entrance , so I stuck my camera out for a few shot . It was a nerveless , foggy day – still early in the season – and this single Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree in the courtyard had just latterly turn its leaves yellow . canyon EOS 7D , f/5 , 1/20 sec . , ISO-250

Crayola Box
I was walking the neighbourhood and learn these leaves in my neighbors yard . I had not witnessed this many colors in one domain and thought to myself this would be a nice shot . I ’ve had some peachy look getting good shot with my camera phone . Maybe someday I can yield to get a ‘ real ’ photographic camera . This was blast with an iPhone 4S , ISO80 , shutter hurrying 1/120 F - Stop 2.4 . I used two apps to pick off the colors Camera+ & snapseed .

Glen Iris
receive to the “ Grand Canyon of the East ” , the “ Glen Iris ” or more unremarkably bang as Letchworth State Park in Upstate New York . This is the view from inspiration point of the Higher Falls and a bird . A Bird !
As for the video and gear this was take with a Nikon D5100 and the kit lens . Slight Level and Color Adjustments in PS as I more reacted to the setting ( with a Bird ! ) than planned for .

Idyllic
My in - legal philosophy exist in a condominium atop a mountain in Vinings , Georgia , which has unbelievable aspect of the nearby woodwind and , on the horizon , business district Atlanta and Buckhead ( to the right field and left , respectively ) . I was there latterly and saw a beautiful sunrise casting its rays over the colourful tree diagram below , and snaffle a 3 - shot bracketed photograph , merged into HDR via Photomatix . ( I unintentionally was on P , which bracket both the aperture and photograph times ; I should have operate the aperture at f/8 - 9 , but the result still came out well . ) Nikon D7000 , Nikkor 16 - 85 mm f/3.5 - 5.6 G ED VR AF - S DX , 16 mm , ISO 200 , [ f/13 @ 1/640 | f/9 @ 1/320 | f/6.3 @ 1/160 ] .

Fisheye Fall
This characterisation was read during a walking in a nearby park at lunchtime . The foliage was vibrant all around me , and a thought occurred to me : If I consist down on a nearby bench , and point the photographic camera flat up , I could charm a 360 degree view with my fisheye lens . I took the dead reckoning , not think too much of it . When I visualize the paradigm later on , I was agreeably surprised how nice it came out . Canon 5D Mark II , Canon 15 mm Fisheye , ISO : 200 , F4.5 , 1/2000

A Tree’s Shadow
I was walking around the St. Louis Arch basis and snapped this pictorial matter . The lighting was just perfect and really showcased the yellowed / red foliage on the trees . I loved the contrast against the green green goddess . I was using my Canon 7D ( 15 - 85 mm wide angle lense ) , f/22 , 1/40s , ISO 400 , 31 mm . I edited the photo in Lightroom to bring out the shadows .

The conditions turned out to be perfect that weekend and the leave were as colourful as I have ever see them . During our first wage hike on Oberg Mountain , I assume this shot by hand from one of the many overlooks on the track . claim with a Nikon D3100 , 18 - 55 millimeter kit lens , orbitual polarizer , ISO 400 | 22 millimetre | f7.1 | 1/200 sec .

The ice chest weather has start to make it to the DC area and with that the leave will shortly begin changing color , the jacket will come out and we will be take away beautiful pic with shade of red , yellows and oranges in them . View From the Road
I took this photo of the northern part of Lake Shore Drive , Chicago in between storms . They had been pass through all solar day and I happened to see out the windowpane as another storm was approaching . I love the fact that even in a city as big as Chicago , the vibrance of Fall can still be seen . Photo was taken with my iPhone 4s and then I used iPhoto to fiddle with the contrast .
